A primary way that the UFO/ET topic has been denied is to make fun of people who claim to have seen a UFO. In this song I turn the tables and make fun of officials who give unrealistic explanations about what thousands of credible people throughout the world have seen. In several separate cases UFOs have been seen by ground radar, ground visual, airplane radar, and visually by pilots. To laugh that off gives me the official explanation blues.

Lights in the sky on a cloudy night, we’ve seen some things and we’re sure we’re right, but officials say the answer must be no, they say we’ve seen too many a sci. fi. show. Once again they win we lose. Got those official explanation blues
They say we must have had too much to drink, something wrong with the way we think, and when we see those lights all across the land, they say “What about no don’t you understand?” Once again they win we lose. Got those official explanation blues

Swamp gas, searchlights, weather balloons, twelve thousand miles an hour they go. Let’s put a pump on that swamp gas and see what our minivan can do. We want to ride in that weather balloon a couple times around the world this afternoon.
Sometimes the radar sees it too, if it’s on the screen we think it’s got to be true. But they say the radar didn’t work right, sure hope it’s fixed before our next flight. Sell those airline tickets, we can drive. Don’t trust that radar with our lives. Once again they win we lose, got those official explanation blues.
